When I talk about connections and meanings, I am talking about emotional load of a particular event and not about what it signifies. Its signification is always very clear. I don't deal with symbols I deal with categories of things and they have varying degrees of emotional load.

The arrangement for Parlour Gallery (text and image) aims to share the artists, writers and thinkers who have formed, informed, challenged and shaped a practice and a life.

The constellation of names and how they are registered in my thinking is part reference list, part research practice and ultimately part love letter. The lists continue to grow with each engagement of something new, something that quickens the heart.

The people recorded in this space have significantly impacted the concerns of cultural, political, and ideological life (thus far). In doing so their presence in Parlour Gallery ensures that they are the work
